About the Artist
Ikaera is a contemporary painter working exclusively with acrylics across two distinct stylistic worlds — each one a different lens through which to experience colour, emotion, and atmosphere.
On one side lies a body of abstract work driven by colour fusion — bold, expressive compositions that challenge conventional notions of what art can be. These pieces push against the boundaries of contemporary form, layering pigment and gesture into visual conversations that feel unrestrained, intuitive, and alive. They are not meant to be read, but felt.
On the other side sits a quieter practice: scenic paintings that explore tranquility and peace. Soft coastlines, moonlit lakesides, warm sunsets, and still moments captured in acrylic — each piece an invitation to pause. These works are rooted in atmosphere and memory, translating stillness into something you can almost hear.
Though the two styles differ in temperament, they share the same hand and the same curiosity. This portfolio is a unified archive of both — a space where contrast lives comfortably beside calm, and where each painting, whether abstract or scenic, is a celebration of what paint can do in the right light.
